Meals on Wheels is much more than just a meal. Homebound seniors or those alone much of the time will have the reassurance that there will be daily or weekly human contact. An opportunity to see a friendly face and develop friendships with our caring, courteous drivers. It is a sense of security knowing that someone will come, that someone cares.
Eligibility
♦ Must be 60 years of age and homebound
♦ No income requirements
All of our senior meals are approved by a registered dietician and meet 1/3 of the recommended daily dietary allowance. Each meal comes with an entrée, milk and dessert. Clients may request five meals or seven meals per week.
Meals on Wheels clients are asked to make a suggested contribution of $3.50 per meal. The actual cost per meal is over $6.50. Eligible clients will not be denied meals based on inability to contribute. |
