Eligibility
♦ Must be 60 years of age and homebound
♦ No Income Requirement
Clients may request five meals or seven meals per week. Meals come with an entrée, milk and dessert. The meals are approved by a registered dietician and meet 1/3 of the recommended daily dietary allowance.
Meals on Wheels is much more than just a meal. It is a daily/weekly human contact on which seniors who are homebound and alone much of the time may rely. It is a sense of security knowing that someone will come, that someone cares.
Meals on Wheels is much more than just a meal. It connects and links seniors to other services available to them in community.
Meals on Wheels customers are asked to make a suggested contribution of $3.50 per meal. The actual cost per meal is over $6.00 Eligible customers will not be denied meals based on ability to contribute.
